We are excited to announce that we are opening up our children and youth programs again. We know this has been a frustrating time and we appreciate your patience through this process. Our practices and programs will look different as we regather. Throughout this process we have relied on advice from health officials, local health department guidance and guidance from the CDC. Our goal is to provide a safe place where your kids and teenagers can encounter Christ and grow in their faith.
To that end, all of our leaders and volunteers will be wearing masks. We are also STRONGLY ENCOURAGING our kids and students to wear masks when they can not maintain a safe social distance. We are also asking that you remain at home if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, a cold, allergy-like symptoms, or a fever over 100.4. For children from Nursery to 5th grade, we are asking that you pre-register your kids so that we can prepare for the number of kids properly and so that there is no hold up when you drop them off. You can pre-register them below.
WHO WE ARE
The Student Ministry exists to help your teenagers encounter Christ, emulate His way of life, and engage His teachings and kingdom mission. We want your kids to approach God with wonder and amazement and engage kingdom work with passion. Our goal is to prepare and challenge them to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and to love their neighbor.
CURRENTLY NOT MEETING DUE TO COVID-19
During Sunday School, at 9:00 on Sunday mornings, we focus on helping students see the overarching story of Scripture and how their story fits into God’s story. They get to investigate key characters and concepts and see what the Gospel is and how it courses throughout all of Scripture. Our hope is for your teenager to become a life-long learner and to approach God’s word with awe and wonder every time. We have two classes; 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade.
Junior High youth group meets Sunday nights from 6:00-7:00. We want your students to encounter Christ, learn to trust him and radically follow him. We want to expand your students’ view of God as well as challenge their assumptions and own their faith in Christ. Our teaching focuses on what students are experiencing and helping them live in God’s kingdom right now. We focus on topics like relationships, identity, stress and spiritual habits that will help them engage Christ and His mission for the rest of their lives.
Sr. High Youth Group meets Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00. It is a night that emphasizes three key elements; recognition of who God is, recognition of who we are, and recognition of what Christ did for us. Again, we want your students to encounter Christ, learn to trust him and radically follow him. We want to expand your students’ view of God as well as challenge their assumptions and own their faith in Christ.
